What Longwave does
Three levels of explanation — use the one that fits your context. These are the authoritative descriptions for all marketing material.
5 words · Use in email signatures, tweet bios, footer credits, and anywhere one line is all you get.
Upload one long-form video. Longwave produces the full stack — transcript, description, chapters, designer-crafted AI thumbnail, karaoke captions, and viral-scored clips — then distributes to every platform: YouTube episodes and Shorts, X posts and supercuts, plus podcast distribution across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and more.
Everything is scheduled at each platform's prime time using geo-IP gateways to post from the right region. You look like a broadcaster. You don't have the headcount.

Longwave is a creator operating system for serious long-form video. A creator uploads one episode and the platform handles everything that follows.
Production: Whisper transcribes the audio; Gemini writes the title, SEO description, timestamped chapters, and show notes. The thumbnail designer — a full WYSIWYG canvas with drag-positioned title, subtitle, logo, and sticker layers — generates a background via Imagen 4, composited at 1280x720. The clip engine scores every segment across 8 virality dimensions (hook quality, emotional intensity, quotability, narrative completeness, platform fit) and selects the top performers. Karaoke captions render each word highlighted in sync with Whisper timestamps, with configurable fonts and hook-word emphasis.
Distribution: Full episodes publish to YouTube. Clips distribute to YouTube Shorts, X posts, and X supercuts via a smart scheduling engine that slots each piece at prime time with per-platform daily caps, configurable windows, and three scheduling modes (fill, reschedule, redistribute). A first comment is auto-posted and pinned on every YouTube upload. Geo-IP proxies ensure uploads originate from the correct region for each platform.
Podcast distribution: Longwave generates compliant RSS feeds and hosts your audio, distributing to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, iHeartRadio, Pocket Casts, Overcast, and Castbox — each directory gets its own feed, metadata, and per-directory cover art. Your show reaches every podcast platform from a single upload.
Public presence: The Link in Bio feature builds a public profile page at the creator's own subdomain that auto-updates with every new episode, post, and podcast release, with a full WYSIWYG designer to reorder sections and customize appearance.
Archive intelligence: Every transcript is indexed. The Content Intelligence dashboard answers natural-language questions against the creator's full corpus, generates gap reports identifying underexplored topics, tracks momentum and channel health trends, and surfaces keyword signals. The back-catalogue enrichment pipeline processes every existing episode through the same AI — extracting topics, hooks, key arguments, guest mentions, and unanswered questions.
The output: one creator looks like they have a full media company. They don't have the headcount.

The story behind the product
Longwave started with a simple observation: serious creators were making something that mattered and leaving most of it behind. A weekly geopolitics show, a finance commentary channel, a long-form interview series — tens of hours of work resulting in one video on one platform.
We launched as shortshorts.aiturning long YouTube episodes into Shorts automatically. The premise was useful — and it immediately showed us we'd undersold what we were building. The people using it weren't chasing trends. They were running serious media operations: independent analysts, weekly commentators, interview shows with years of accumulated work.
They didn't just need clips. They needed a production layer, AI that understood what they'd actually said, and an archive that compounded in value. They needed to look like a broadcaster — without the broadcaster headcount.
We rebuilt from the inside out. By the time we renamed it, the product had been Longwave for a long time. We just hadn't said so.
Why the name
Before satellites, before streaming, there was longwave — the lowest frequency on the radio dial, the furthest-reaching signal. One transmitter could cover a continent. Longwave penetrates where other signals die. And it carries the time signal that every device calibrates against. Three properties that map directly to what the product does: one episode, every platform; survives algorithm changes; your archive as the authoritative reference for your operation.
The same law holds at sea — the longest wavelength travels the farthest. That's why the mark is a swell, not a break. A break is the moment a wave dies. Longwave's promise is endurance.
The Groundswell mark
Three stacked ocean-swell bands, each a single quadratic crest filled to the baseline, layered front-to-back with decreasing opacity.
The mark is monochrome — inherits currentColor. Depth comes from opacity, never tint.
- One crest per band. Wavelength ≥ full mark width.
- Three bands at display sizes; two in tiled icons.
- Opacity ladder: 0.22 → 0.5 → 1.0 (master); 0.35 → 1.0 (tiled).
- No breaking waves, curls, foam, spray, or droplets — ever.
- No gradients, strokes, or per-band tints.
