China is building the future rooftop misting systems, delivering real cooling for a fraction of the price. Yeah, the bloody Chinese, I mean, when do they get off doing all this innovation stuff, that's what I'd like to know, the innovation in action. So China is developing, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, let's just play the real, let's do. So that's the Chinese unbelievable stuff, right? So deploying practical climate adaptation technology at scale right now in the Shenzhen sheep, province and other hot regions, rooftop misting systems like we just saw are being installed, create fine water, mist essentially artificial rain which can drop out door temperatures 8 degrees Celsius in just a few minutes. So imagine if you're sitting out on your deck on your balcony, on your terrace, bloody hot and all of a sudden the building turns on the thing and the next minute is lovely and cool. I mean that's just really clever. The systems are relatively low cost, they're low cost, they're energy efficient, they're extremely effective at cooling public spaces, public streets, rooftops and densely populated urban areas. The irony is well Europe, you know, over in Europe people are dying because it's bloody hot. Come on, Europe saw you shut out. Europe swelters under another brutal heat wave. Many Chinese cities are using technology just like this to maintain livable conditions. You know we complain about collectively on our high horses out here in Team West we complain about how those bloody communist Chinese, they do this, they do that, they're bloody useless, they steal and they lie and they all just sort of carry on. And then they do this. How are they doing this? That's what I would like to know. How is it that they are leaders? They are leading us. I mean come on, come on Team West, we can do better than this. How's it work? The technology is based on a simple evaporative cooling. It's been around for a long, long time ultra fine water droplets are sprayed from rooftops and elevated structures as the water evaporates. It absorbs a hell of a lot of heat from the surrounding air. This method is far more efficient than running massive air conditioning or, you know, those sort of systems for outdoor areas that provides rapid relief in public spaces where traditional AC just cannot reach. And it uses relatively little water and bugger all that electricity so it's just a pump basically, a pump with some spray nozzle compared to the cooling power that it can deliver. And so quickly, you saw how it worked. It was just amazing how quick it worked. So yeah, now let's go over another, we're going to have another look at Europe, the heat wave pain versus China's response. So yeah, Europe, poor Europe, the really terrible. Currently suffering through extreme temperatures, Paris and Madrid over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, many European buildings, lack proper insulation, like double glazing or widespread AC, leaving vulnerable populations, especially the old people, you know, the old people are absolutely vulnerable here. This is not cool, it's not really not cool. And it's leaving those people at risk and death slink to heat wave have already been reported. China by contrast has invested heavily in both, I mean they are the biggest electricity generator on the planet right now. And practical cooling solutions like these misting systems, by way of example, they're rolling this out. So this is where ordinary citizens get to maintain normal routines, work routines, you know, get back to work nice and cool, even during extreme heat. Now the broader Chinese approach. So this rooftop misting technology fits into the larger pattern, the larger pattern of pragmatic infrastructure first, putting infrastructure first problem solving in China. China has built enormous power generation, a head of demand. So reaching 10.4 trillion kilowatt hours in 2025 alone, keeps electricity affordable and dominates manufacturing of air conditioners, producing more than 80% of the world's units. So they're taking a lot of boxes here when it comes to AC. I mean, you know, like them or not, they're doing a bloody good job of what they're doing instead of waiting for perfect long-term climate solutions or technology. They are, they're just cracking on. Let's just build, build, build, scalable tools that improve equality of Chinese citizens today. So this is in stark contrast to much of Europe. I heard recently that in the Brussels and the European Union headquarters, I think it's floors eight and above, which is where all the knobs, you know, all the hob knobs go and sit like Ursula Von Delayon, you know, in Kaia, Carlos. They'll all sit up there on the top floor. So they all get AC, but if you're just staff and you're on floor seven and below, they literally switch the AC off. You come into work and it's like, you know, 40 or 40 degrees inside, well, just go and get a glass of water, you know, work harder, no, no, work harder, and work smarter, and drink more water. I mean, they're probably hand out free plastic cups, you know, that's how cynical they are. The bottom line team, the bottom line China is actively building the future with practical innovations like rooftop misting systems that can lower out and eight degrees in minutes. You saw it minutes, Europe's just bugged. Absolutely. Come on, Europe saw you shut out, reflecting a pragmatic infrastructure first. It's not hard. Put this stuff first team. This is the bedrock of your civilization. So get that right and get it right first. Start off with that big stuff first. And let the rest be built upon that. They're really good bones. If you start with good bones, then you'll do extremely well. Unlike what's happening over there in Europe. And this, for me, this, I love it because it's pragmatic. I love that. I just really love it. It's the opposite of the European ideology. You know, let's, you know, they're great at Thunburg. Thunburg sort of thing, approach to the world. It's, you know, it's just a very different approach to things, you know, the Chinese just take a very different approach. And I, I kind of like that. I think if we, we in the west are going to pursue one particular model over the other, pragmatism wins hands down. And look, sometimes people will get upset at that, you know, you should be more, I don't know, but you should be more of us than you should be more of that. But bottom line is, you know, people need to, to stay alive. And to do that, you need cost effective energy. You need to be able to afford your power bill, or you can't turn the AC on, you die. So, you know, there's, there has to be a measure of pragmatism that comes into the conversation. We can't be all, you know, I mean, all the rich people don't care, right? They're just like, oh, we're rich, we don't care. We turn the AC on all night, all day long, all night long, we don't care. But the rest of, like how many people are rich? Five percent? Maybe five percent, maybe two percent. I don't know, but it's not 98 percent. You know, the rest of us have to basically, you know, we've got to pay power bills, and we struggle to make those payments every month, especially if you're old and you're on a pension, you got to fix income. It's pretty bloody hard to flick that thing on. You got to look at that thing and go, shit, I wronged, I'm feeling, look, I'm really feeling pretty crooked. I don't feel good at all, but I can't really afford to switch on the, on the AC, you know, so I'll just have to sort of, I don't know, just have to, you know, struggle away, and I'll just shit. And if you think it's great, then look, I don't like that at all, I really don't like it, I think we need to be more caring for a, and a bit more pragmatic when it comes to these bigger picture issues. We should be far more pragmatic, at least I do elastic, you know, to protect the people that are most vulnerable in our society, and just get off our high horses, I think it's probably, anyway, I'll get off my now, so wherever you are, I think you have awesome day.
